Chapter 2: Bless All The Little Children
After a little over four hours of driving, you finally reach Sector 01453. The sector is in the upper part of Lower Downtown, so it's not as
squalid as other sections of the Lower Downtown area. The stormy gray sky can actually be seen as rain falls hard on the windows of the APC.
The buildings here all look run down, and there are sparse few souls on the street. As you move through the sector, you do see a couple Shiver and
Monarch patrols. Lighting is the area is as sparse as the people, with a great number of street lamps either broken or burnt out. Neon signs glow
through the darkness, inviting people to drink or buy various goods and services.
At this point, the orphanage is about two miles away.

"Perhaps a change of plan: Reig, could you and Difference sneak up to the apartment of those two operatives and see if you
can hear and look inside? Then when we make contact with the orphanage, we know if people get called. If nobody's there, it would be legal to enter,
as they have currently SCL 11. I would like to eliminate them as suspects at the first opportunity."

Difference nods both to Flaky's orders and to Reig strategy. Slipping out of the APC at a convient alley way, the two operatives climb up to the
roofs and make their way across them towards the ex-operatives' apartment.

Reig and Difference - You make your way across roof tops, your NavMap guiding the way to the appropriate apartment building. The rain is falling
heavy, making footing interesting at times.
Finally you reach the appropriate apartment. It's slightly better than most, and the roof is still in decent condition. You notice an unusual
cluster of anttena on the roof, near the stairwell entrance.

Well this was what Difference trained for. His father had run a prestigious computer hardware and science friction sub-company. Though he had wanted
to follow his mother into the Art world, Difference had always had a knack for computers like his father. Taking a few careful breaths, Difference
slides over to the antenna cluster and taking out his equipment, he starts to evaluate and if he is confident he can do it without being detected, he
will carefully splice into the array and see what kind of data is being transmitted.

Dropping back, Reig checks his SMG is clear and sets up an overwatch, slipping into the shadows. Pulling his Motion Scanner out, he also sweeps back
and forth with normal vision and his IR scope.

Difference - You start to get a splitting headache as you get closer to the farm. As you look at the antenna, you realize that some of them are part
of the Station Analysis network.

Shaking off his headache, Difference motions Reig to pull back. Getting on the comm and checking the encryption over the squad channel before
speaking,
"Our two ex-operatives aren't what they seem, be carefully but don't jump to conclusions. They might be on our side. Reig and myself are
going to take a look from farther away."
Once they are a few roofs away, Difference whispers to Rieg,
"Those were Station Analysis equipment. I suggest we try to get a vantage point looking through the windows from across the street, but we
should push the issue until we have proof that they are corrupt."

Moving over to the point indicated as stealthily as possible, Reig slips into place and begins to survey the apartment in normal and IR.

Misery figure out what happens on the streets. If possible fish a bit about our two Ops, but keep it light: better info that's a bit thin but we can
do a second round than the local populace dead set against us.

free to interject and ask a question if you feel it's pertinent. Just remember, Flaky said to keep it light and I agree with her." She
starts to get ready and then speaks again. "Oh. And don't get between me and my kill. If I tell you I'm taking a target, find yourself
another one. Got it?"

Reig and Difference - You make it to the vantage point you want. You're pretty sure no one spotted you, but then of course you haven't seen anyone
out and about either. Once you're in position, you take a look at the appropriate window.
You can see into the living room, the shades are open. Inside, you see a Brain Waster playing with a couple of Doobries. She has a smile on her face
as the Doobries occupy her attention.

Difference turns to Reig and shrugs. That seemed innocent enough, but seeming innocent didn't mean anything. For all they knew this was a show put
on for their benefit. Regardless, it was time to move on. Bothering ex-operatives, especially high SCL ones wasn't Difference's idea of a good time.
Hopefully they won't need to be back. It was time to find something more conclusive.
Slipping back to the full cover of the roof, Difference leads the two of them a few buildings away before slipping down to the street the block over
from Operatives apartment. They then make their way through alleys and across roofs to the orphanage.

Before getting out of the APC, Greg puts his gloves into his helmet the suspend then on his belt.

Then he puts a finger on the grenade on his chest.

the way." She gives aplayful wink as she slides out of the APC. As she walks, her deathsuit changes color, becoming half gold and half red.
Her Al's Taxi logo's affixed to the back, the shoulders and one above her left breast.
